YsMCE on a wild / wet trail of Monsoon in Kerala.

last sunset before the Monsoon

Pilgrimage of YMCE on the trail of Monsoon . It was indeed the sight of dark clouds, that made even the power towers glee in pleasure, on prospect of carrying more power. Food to a power- starved state.

From the concrete jungle to the heartlands of GOC, Idukki.

Good bye sun, for a couple of days Only.

A cup that was so near yet so far.

Mercury at 41 degC, humidity at 90 % scathing hot sun mercilessly breathing hot air down at the warriors of YMCE. Peak summer afternoon sans any sunlotion or cream, they left homes with willow in their hand and an ambition as big as K2 and that could have flattened the Aussies, if the times were right. Past mid medam the Sun cannot be any more hotter than this. No Greg Chappell, no great wall to save the heightened spirit of this team that took the heat head on first. .
This is the runner-up cup , not bad for all the humble effort. What if we did not get the winners trophy. We made it upto here in style.

Sethu on one of his deadly pace spell, but in vain.

Ajit and the top scorer Santhosh to the crease, a well deserved 60 out of 81 total was made by Santosh, congrats Santosh !!!!. With all his effort goes to get only the runner up trophy was the saddest cut of it. hopefully next time buddies.Skipper Ajith with some prayers in mind and fire in his belly, sets out to issue missiles heading for boundaries and sixers. Off they go for the battle Royal, for better or bad results. To give a valiant good fight is all we pray.

The part of crowd watching their home team, cracking their willow.

Men toil at day to bring home the glory.

On a peak summer noon, caring little for the boiling sun over the heads, Ys men CE (YMCE), all lings and men toiled the earth to lose a worthy battle, came home with no broken bones and sunken heads but with a chest full of pride and valour. Let the pics speak.........
